Shane Norcross and his wife Shea felt the call to serve as Senior Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia in the fall of 2014. Shane has been in the ministry his entire adult life and has devoted himself to equipping the church to serve God using their unique spiritual gifts.  Shane has a master’s degree in theology and years of experience in pastoral counseling.  He and his wife surrendered their lives to helping each believer grow in their giftedness and to glorify God in their lives.

Shane’s years of serving the local church as a youth minister, music minister, and senior pastor has allowed him to work with all age groups within the church.  Every age group in the local church has an important part in the overall ministry of the local church, and it is Shane’s desire to help each group understand their role in that ministry.

Shane believes that when the church is moved to be in a deeper relationship with the Lord is when it will have the greatest impact.  The gospel transforms the lives of people, and this is what the world needs.  Jesus said “Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”  Therefore the deeper our relationship is with Jesus the greater impact we will have on our communities.
